The Livermore, Calif.-based Vires revealed that its Active Circulation Control (ACC) is designed to improve the elevation of fixed-wing aircraft by developing the airflow around the wing. Vires Founded in 2013 has obtained $1 million in series A funding.

SkyWorks Aerial Systems can dodge the FAA's rule that is in regard to commercial drones in U.S. air space as it is developing a drone that can be utilized for industrial indoor applications. The "Qua.R.K." is a multi-rotor carbon composite vehicle can serve the purpose for both indoors and outside activities. The Henderson, N.V.-based SkyWorks started out as a student project at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and escalated from there. The team has plans on rising in $1 million in seed funding this year.
