SUN Mobility to Energize 30,000 Bounce Infinity Scooters
Bounce Infinity, a leading electric scooter manufacturer in India and SUN Mobility, a global expert in battery swapping and energy infrastructure, have collaborated for the most extensive electric vehicle (EV) deployment in India. SUN Mobility plans to introduce 30,000 Bounce Infinity Scooters in major Indian markets, starting with Bangalore and Hyderabad and later expanding to Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi NCR.
Operating under both the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) and Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) models, these scooters will utilize SUN's battery swapping network, comprising over 600 swap stations across 19 Indian cities. Users, including third-party fleets, can benefit from this network for efficient electric 2-wheeler mobility. Bounce and SUN Mobility also have plans to introduce this solution in export markets. The Bounce Infinity E1 scooter, recognized for its practical design and performance, integrates with SUN Mobility's swappable battery system, offering an impressive range of over 95 km per swap. This collaboration aims to eliminate charging hassles and make clean commuting accessible and affordable.
Vivekananda Hallekere, CEO of Bounce Infinity, stated, "This collaboration comes at a pivotal moment, as India's electric two-wheeler market is poised to boom, with sales penetration potentially exceeding 80% by 2030 . Our collaboration with SUN Mobility is a crucial step in our mission to revolutionize urban mobility. By eliminating charging hassles with instant battery swaps, we're making clean commute not just accessible but affordable for people".
Anant Badjatya, CEO of SUN Mobility, remarked, "Our mission at SUN Mobility has always been to create solutions that transcend challenges, and this partnership exemplifies that commitment. By integrating Bounce Infinity's innovative scooters into our expansive battery swapping network, we're not just changing the way people commute; we're shaping the future of sustainable, efficient transport. We're thrilled about the potential of this collaboration to redefine EV adoption, not just in India but on a global scale".
