Periscope Data is a data analysis tool that unifies business data across multiple different data sources. By plugging into database, marketing and billing systems, it can show customers how email and SMS affect user retention as well as which sales channels produce the most loyal users, and how many users use both web and mobile frontends. The company is founded in 2012, by ex-Google AdWords and Microsoft Bing PMs and engineers who have worked together for several years.

Funding/investors: $35M in funding from Carrick Capital in June, 2015.
