Qualcomm Ventures Invests $100K in Deck App Technologies


Bangalore: Bangalore based Deck App Technologies; a presentation app maker for mobile devices, smart phones and tabs has raised a whopping $100,000 from Qualcomm Ventures. The funding came after a result of the app maker being the top Indian finalist for the 2012 QPrize contest run by Qualcomm. With this the company also gets an immediate eligibility to compete further with regional champions for $150000 QPrize Global Grand Prize competition which would be held in San Francisco in Q1'13, reports dealcurry.com

Deck App Technologies was founded in June 2012 by Sumanth Raghavendra, an IIM Bangalore alumnus. It is a free app that is available on App store and Android market and it lets a user create presentations on any device in an easiest manner. Deck.in is the official website of the company.

The company was funded by Qualcomm Ventures, which is a venture capital investment arm of Qualcomm Inc. The notion of QPrize was started to promote and invest in innovative startups in the technology sector.
