Pricebaba Raises Funds From 500 Startups


Bangalore: Pricebaba, a location based search engine that helps world shoppers to search prices in their vicinity has raised an undisclosed amount in funding from 500 startups. Existing investors Karamveer Singh and Dinesh Tejwani also participated in the round, reports finsmes.com

This startup which has developed a shopping intelligence engine will be joining the sixth class of 500 Startups’ business accelerator in Mountain View, California and it is expected to use the procured funds mainly to expand its operations to 10 major cities in the country by the end of 2013.

Founded and incorporated by Annkur P Agarwal and Tirthesh Ganatra in 2012, Pricebaba even serves as a platform for people to sell, buy and even exchange mobile phones. Currently, the startup extends its services in Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Gurgaon, Noida, and Delhi and lists out over 400 offline retail outlets from these cities.

Pricebaba has a qualitative process, as it has a two step verification process including a personal visit by a verification team from the company who checks the quality standards before being listed on the website.
