Offbeat Startups That Are Aiming Big In India

The startup was started by Bharat Ahirwar, who faced the difficulty of taking a break from work or home chores. So, you can login and signup with GetMyPeon and have them take care of all your petty jobs. The company is currently looking for funding so that they can expand and are also working on an app to make users experience a better one.

Scentra: A company that sells scented shoes, Scentra, was founded by Karan Vij, an Indian student from the University of California. His experience in California of not being able to look too funky or cool even with him being well dressed gave him this idea and today Vij claims that Scentra is the only player in the market of selling scented shoes.

His aim for the company is to sell a hundred pair a day at the cost of 2000. This he believes can be achieved since he is the only player in the market. You would think that the number of people buying these shoes would be girls but unfortunately he has more male buyers. He is still on a journey to get more men to login and buy his products.

Wanted Umbrella: Wanted Umbrella, which was started by Kalyani Khona, is a pretty interesting online startup that helps physically challenged and physically disabled people find a spouse.  Kalyani believes that this market will kick off since it is literally an area that has not been touched. The reason being that there are over 40 million disabled people and that only 5 percent get married, so she is confident that the matrimony site will become big. To take a stand for a cause, Kalyani actually married a physically disabled man.
