Now Paytm Users can make UPI transactions in Overseas!

According to One97 Communications (OCL), the company that controls the Paytm brand, now Paytm customers can make UPI payments in a few selected international countries.

A UPI payment is accepted in countries including the UAE, Singapore, France, Mauritius, Bhutan, and Nepal. Indian tourists can now use their Paytm app to make easy, cashless payments.

This new functionality makes it simple for customers to use the Paytm app with UPI to pay for local activities, dining out, and shopping while traveling internationally. In India, it already made paying for these common things as easy as using UPI, but it is now also available in overseas too.

Using the Paytm app to link your bank account to UPI International is simple and just requires one setup. While going overseas, the app will immediately activate the capability when you scan a QR code that supports UPI. Depending on your travel, you can select duration for the service, ranging from one to ninety days.

To prevent unintentional payments once you return to India, you can disable it whenever you would like. In order to let you know precisely how much you are being charged, this function also displays the exchange rates and any conversion fees before you make a payment.

It allows you to pay overseas with greater security and control. Users can now download their UPI transaction statements through a new functionality that Paytm has added.

This helps you track your spending, adhere to a budget, and better manage your finances—especially before, during, and after international travel, by making it easy to view all of your transaction details.
