NIT-Agartala Innovation carnival
The Institute Innovation Council (IIC) and Startup of National Institute of Technology Agartala (NITA) aiming to synchronise industry requirements and academic training began a two-day “Innovation Carnival 2022” on NITA campus. The chairman of the council, Suman Deb, said the academic institutions have been producing degree holders every year, but in most of the cases they were not being given adequate value in the industry and production sector. So, to bridge the gap, the Centre has set up IIC in the technical institutions, he added.
“The IIC and Startup of NITA has been working with young talents for innovation even at the junior and undergraduate levels to scale up practical knowledge with academic certification, which will enhance scope of employability and production,” Deb said.
To foster young minds and to introduce opportunities and tremendous techno managerial potential this “Innovation Carnival” is one-of-a-kind initiative that they can explore during their study period. The programme will include integration with various government departments, talks on industries and industrial demonstrations.
NITA director Prof H K Sharma said that the primary agenda of the carnival was to enhance the innovative ability of students as well as research scholars to establish a way of connection between profession and product development from the roots.
