Bangalore: The Bangalore based Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospitals has partnered with US-based Ascension Hospital Group for setting up a super-specialty hospital in Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean Sea.

Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospitals (NH) Group will be investing Rs250 Crore for the hospital with 120 beds and is expected to be operational in two years.

According to Dr A. Raghuvanshi, Managing Director of NH Group, “we are in talks with five other global majors in the healthcare sector to establish five hospitals at an investment of $30-40 million each.”

At this point, when Indian medical industry is foraying overseas, it’s interesting that many NRI doctors are expected to return to India. “We are getting 10-20 applications each day,” said Dr Devi Shetty, Chairman of NH Group.
