The business accelerator programme CoLab of multinational confectionery company Mondelez International has begun operations in India. The goal of the accelerator programme is to support the nation's expanding entrepreneurial community, promote growth and innovation, and take the lead in the snacking sector.
Mondelez International expects that through assisting these businesses, high-growth snacking trends will be explored, picked up on, and adopted. And through the effort, the company will be able to forge a solid alliance with these entrepreneurs and support their expansion in the snacking sector, which will aid the Indian snacking market as a whole.
For the program, up to seven startups will be shortlisted, who will be chosen by a team of internal and external experts and will receive a $20,000 grant. The businesses will take part in a 12-week programme that combines virtual and in-person contacts. This programme will give the startups access to expert mentoring, workshops, the leadership and networks of Mondelez India, as well as relationships with industry experts. Selected Startups will have the opportunity to pitch and raise financing from Huddle and other possible funds at the program's final showcase event.
