In December 2011,Kalra first registered the company name and started the eatery. The positive reviews she gained helped her to take the eatery to the next level. Crostini is an Italian word, the eatery offers healthy breakfast options – whole wheat pasta, wraps, salads, low-fat protein shakes, breads and also various other dishes. Every venture has its own share of problems; Kalra faced opposition from friends and family. Having no support, she earned what she always dreamt to achieve. "As a woman with no experience in building a business, I had to be twice as aggressive and firm while dealing with people. I was used to working in a team where the credit was shared. However, being an entrepreneur is a lonely existence as one has to work alone and there's no one to give you credit," said Mitali Kalra to ET

Kalra also organizes offbeat events and workshops during the weekends to boost her business.
