Indian Startups That Will Undoubtedly Turn You Into A Foodie
'I Say Organic'
‘I Say Organic’ started with a desire to cultivate safe and healthy food to the public. Ashmeet kapoor, a 27 year old Electrical engineer from U.S, also did an entrepreneurship programme before he could land in India. He came with an idea of setting up I Say Organic, an online organic vegetable and fruits store.
Before kapoor could start up with this venture, he had to do a thorough research and he also felt that this concept would also benefit the farmers. Kapoor had to invest Rs 50 lakhs in I Say Organic. After intial roadblocks and struggles, in the year 2012 the company launched their website and the business gradually picked up. Orders are taken online or via phone and the minimum order should amount Rs 250.
All the organic products were delivered from the company's office in Okhla, Delhi. Kapoor presently employs 20 people and is able to gain revenues of Rs 10 lakh every month. The company is said to be growing at a rate of 10 to 15 percent each month.
