Finance Minister is confident enough to boost the confidence of Startupreneurs

Amid the suspenseful situation of Funding Winter, startup break down, Finanace Minister Nirmala Sitharaman assured the Indian startups. After looking about all the problems and challenges of the startups she stressed that, repetition of such events should not be welcomed again by the startup ecosystem.

She boldly stated, "The problem of a few startups can't be taken as the problem of the entire startup ecosystem." Sitharaman told that, she is very much optimistic about the upcoming days and overall well-being of the startup ecosystem of India.

She further stated that, "Many of them are doing alright. We don't want any sector to have any apprehension that they 'can't do business in India.”

She immediately destroyed the idea that, some startups working in specific industries are incompetent to run profitable business in India. She stressed on the fact that, whatever may be the profit scale, stage and industry the startup belongs to, the government will always support through necessary assistance. She told, "The government is very much with the startups, and startups will be given all assistance."

Her electrifying commitment boosted the young visionaries ahead of the funding slowdown, Sitharaman explained the funding slowdown is not the funding winter but it is rather a phase where funders are carefully evaluating business prospects.

Finance Minister told that, instead of getting demoralized try to get more innovative and effective products in the industry because the potential investors are always looking for innovative startups. She told, "It's not a scarcity of funds; it's more about seeing the opportunity and looking at better options among startups."

She threw light on the Government’s policy for startups through National Startup Policy 2016 and confidently told the startup ecosystem will definitely recover.  She assured that the government's initiatives and a supportive environment would contribute to the continued growth of startups.
