Finally the battle for 'Pe' ends! BharatPe & PhonePe fixes Prolonged Legal Dispute

BharatPe and PhonePe declared on Sunday, May 26, that they have legally settled all prolonged lawful debates about utilizing the brand name with the suffix ‘Pe’.
Both the main fintech unicorns had been engaged with long-drawn lawful questions across different courts, throughout the span of the recent five years.
The join statement released on Sunday stated, “BharatPe and PhonePe amicably settled all long-standing trademark disputes,”
The joint statement further added that the two organizations have previously done whatever it may take to pull out all resistance against one another in the brand name battle, which will assist them with continuing with the registration of their separate brand names.
“The settlement will put an end to all open judicial proceedings”, it added.
The statement further added that the two substances will attempt to do whatever it takes to follow the commitments under the settlement arrangement in regard of all cases before the Delhi and Bombay High Courts.
Regarding this Rajnish Kumar, Chairman of the Board, BharatPe stated, “This is a positive development for the industry. I appreciate the maturity and professionalism shown by the Management of both sides, working closely to resolve all outstanding legal issues and moving ahead to focus their energy and resources in building robust digital payment ecosystems”.
Similarly, PhonePe, Founder and CEO, Sameer Nigam said, “I am glad that we have reached an amicable resolution in this matter. This outcome will benefit both companies to move forward and focus our collective energy on growing the Indian fintech industry as a whole”.
