DRIVE FITT ropes Preity Zinta & Subhman Gill to target Indian Fitness market

Bollywood icon Preity G Zinta and Indian cricket star Shubman Gill have partnered as co-founders of DRIVE FITT. DRIVE FITT asserts itself as India's inaugural 24/7 member-based premier gym, combining cricket and fitness in its launch across the country.

Preity G Zinta said, "I am thrilled to introduce DRIVE FITT to India, merging fitness and cricket—two passions that resonate deeply with me and many others in the country. Our goal is to establish a welcoming space where people of all ages and fitness levels can gather to train, enjoy themselves, and maintain their health. I'm eager to introduce this innovative concept in India and look forward to witnessing its positive impact on lives."

Founded by Australian entrepreneurs Mark Sellar and Deke Smith, DRIVE FITT integrates cutting-edge cricket training facilities, including advanced bowling machines in nets, alongside yoga studios and extensive strength, conditioning, and cardio training options within its gym setup.

The startup is set to launch its primary facility in Gurugram this October, followed by a second location in Noida in November of this year. The startup plans to scale its franchise operations to 300 locations across India within the next three years.

This expansion aims to democratize high-quality fitness and cricket training, promoting a healthier and more active nation, according to the announcement.

Shubman Gill, Co-Founder of DRIVE FITT explained, "The inspiration behind DRIVE FITT came from my own struggle with finding accessible, high-quality training facilities. Growing up, I spent countless hours commuting between home, the cricket pitch, and the gym. DRIVE FITT aims to revolutionize this experience by offering a unique environment that combines top-notch gym amenities with specialized cricket training."

Gill further added, that sounds like a great mission! By focusing on both physical and mental well-being, and catering to aspiring cricketers and fitness enthusiasts, DRIVE FITT can truly make a positive impact. Building a community around fitness and wellness goals can provide support, motivation, and a sense of belonging, FITT is more than just a gym; it's a community to empower every Indian with the key to achieve their fitness and wellness goals.

Discussing about the launch Deke Smith, CEO & Co-Founder, DRIVE FITT said, “With DRIVE FITT, we're thrilled to bring a unique blend of cricket and fitness to India. With India's fitness industry growing at an impressive 25-30% year-on-year and cricket participation surging, DRIVE FITT offers a comprehensive solution for all fitness and cricket enthusiasts of every age. Our goal is to inspire a passion for health and wellness through the excitement of cricket, providing world class facilities and training methods designed by cricketing experts."

Mark Sellar, Chairman and co-founder of DRIVE FITT, mentioned, "DRIVE FITT represents a groundbreaking fusion of sport and fitness, tailored for everyone. It's a place where people can train for cricket, have fun, and get fit and healthy any day of the year. With our state-of-the-art facilities and cricket training programs developed by Shubman Gill and Australian cricketers Chris Lynn and Ryan Harris, we aim to empower individuals to achieve their fitness goals while enjoying the spirit of cricket."
