The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has developed a Centre of Excellence for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Startups (CII CIES) at T-Hub in Hyderabad in collaboration with the Telangana government and Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan's Pratiksha Trust as part of efforts to strengthen the startup ecosystem in the nation.

Noting that a dozen corporations, including Skoda Auto, Vedanta, Forbes Marshall, and Apollo Hospitals, have committed to collaborating with startups to develop novel solutions to issues, According to Kris Gopalakrishnan, head of CII CIES, CoE will concentrate on ensuring that startups funded by CIES become businesses with $100 million in revenue and that CII member companies collaborate with and acquire startups.
