Bombay Shaving Company hits
200 crore Revenue in FY24 & cuts Losses by 22%
The grooming and personal care brand Bombay Shaving Company reduced its losses to Rs 62.15 crore in FY24, a significant improvement over
80.25 crore in FY23. In the previous fiscal year, its operating scale also surpassed the revenue threshold of
200 crore.
The Bombay Shaving Company's consolidated financial report, obtained from the Registrar of Companies (RoC), reveals that its revenue from operations increased by 27.38% to
225.85 crore in FY24 from
177.30 crore in FY23.
Shaving cream, haircare, skincare, and beard care products are just a few of the many products offered by Bombay Shaving Company, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) grooming and personal care startup. During the previous fiscal year, the company's only source of income came from the sale of these products.
Interest income brought in an additional
7.6 crore for the company in FY24, bringing its total revenue to
233.4 crore.
The cost of materials accounted for the majority of BSC's costs for the men's grooming brand, rising by 34.39% to
118.76 crore in FY24. The costs of employee benefits and advertising increased slightly to
36.79 crore and
85.90 crore, respectively.
The Gurugram-based company's FY24 net loss was down 22% to
62.2 crore. It had an EBITDA margin of -22.90% and a ROCE of -74.66%. In FY24, the company's unit cost was
1.31 for every rupee earned. In FY24, the company reported having current assets of
203 crores, which included
72.5 crore in cash and bank balance.
