Mallya’s kingfisher is rolling under a mountain of debt. The Income Tax (I-T) department has initiated action against Vijay Mallya-run Kingfisher Airlines for failing to deposit 154 crore in the government's account after having deducted the amount as tax from the salaries of its employees. From late February, 2012, Kingfisher Airlines started to sink into a fresh crisis. They are struggling to pay its fuel bills and staff salaries. Recently, the airline has cancelled several flights and suspended operations of its budget carrier Kingfisher Red.
