Bangalore to Host a 4 day long Startup Festival in March

Bangalore: To strengthen Bangalore's status as the startup capital of India, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) along with Unstoppable India has announced a four day long startup festival from March 7 to March 10, 2013 that will be held in Koramangala, Jayanagar, Indiranagar and Palace Grounds, reports TOI.

Through this event, the organizers aim to brand Bangalore as one stop destination in India for startups. It also innovates to the extent of opening up offices of some of the city’s best startups for the general public and also plans to provide mentoring sessions for budding entrepreneurs.

Interestingly, Government of Karnataka has also signed up to support the event and this festival is expected to have more than 100 partners holding over 120 sessions.

Apart from providing mentorship this startup festival will witness the launch of various startups by thus providing great investment opportunities for investors and other partners. "We've seen the startup ecosystems in Mumbai and Pune, but none of them has the power that Bangalore has,” says Shashikiran, associate director of TiE.

Apart from entrepreneurship and startups, the event will also see a lot of art galleries around the city by Kitsch Mandi. "We're not trying to romanticize startups and entrepreneurs. We want to show a day in the life of an entrepreneur," said Shashikiran to TOI.
