Placio, a Noida-based Student Housing Start-Up acquired a subscription based food start-up Paco Meals and raised $50,000 seed funding for the new venture of food business. The acquisition will help Paco Meals with the technology, Placio’s audience, B2B partners in student housing market and scale pan-India.

Paco Meals focuses on its ‘3As; Appearance, Aroma and Appetite’ aims at delicious, innovative, sustainable, and healthy food options. With a promise of no menu repetition for at least for three months, it also gives the freedom for students to bring their favorite recipes from homes. Also, food parties are held once in a month with a variety of food choices. Placio’s introduction will bring well-designed menus to satisfy every student’s palate and to provide creative warm, friendly, and dining spaces with diverse menus for students.

This unpleasant experience led to my start-up in 2016 to provide wholesome and nutritious meals at subsidized prices for bachelors and students who were on a lean budget. Placio today has given me an opportunity to provide the residents and students with hygienic and nutritious meals filled with variety and flavour at all Placio’s housing in Delhi, Greater Noida, Noida Laxmi Nagar, Indore and Lucknow.”

Founded in 2016 by Rohit Pateria & Ankush Arora, Placio is a student housing start-up providing lifestyle experiences by revolutionizing by offering modern and secured concept of co-living. It is incubated by Amity Business Incubator and it currently manages 15+ properties. The digital platform provided includes modern living spaces, fully-furnished rooms, private rooms and personal apartments across the university campus and best locality.
