Facebook Buys Indian Startup 'Little Eye Labs,' Deal Rumored At 93 Crore


Bangalore: The homepage of Little Eye Labs now welcomes its visitors with Facebook’s thumps up sign. ‘Little Eye Labs’ an Indian startup that builds analysis and monitoring tools for mobile apps has been acquired by Facebook making it the first Indian acquisition by the social media giant.

Even though both the companies were not available for any further details on the deal, the information sources close to the matter reveals that the deal is worth Rs 62 crore-Rs 93 crore. The 8 member team of the Indian startup will be relocating themselves to Menlo Park, California were Facebook is headquartered.

“The entire Little Eye Labs team will move to Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California. From there, we'll be able to leverage Facebook’s world-class infrastructure and help improve performance of their already awesome apps” reads the Little Eye Labs website.

The acquisition of the analytics and monitoring tool developers is thought to be a part of Facebook’s strategy on focusing more on mobile devices which are more extensively used these days to get connected online.
