Bangalore: The social media space till now was all about connecting with friends, acquaintances or the people you want to follow which was been the base to few of the world’s largest social networking sites like Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter and others. But what about connecting people who share common interests but are total strangers? Is there a platform help connect them? Riding high this novel idea, four young minds aged 20 something, have founded treetins.com, a new kind of social media which helps you bump into similar minded strangers!

Prince Jacob Thomas, the founder of treetins, on the inspiration behind the startup said, “The World Wide Web which was supposed to connect people and information all over the world had restricted us with our connections. We either have family, friends or colleagues with whom we connect but there is no medium that connects us with complete strangers in a free and friendly manner.” He then barged on to the project with three of his friends Aditya Dhull, Mohit Narwal and Chandy Thomas and founded Treetins on August 2013, and was online from 5th December 2013.
