Entrepreneurship - 'The Universal Religion'

Bangalore: ‘Religion’ according to Google is – “The belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods.” This is of course what religion means but in the current context, it has evolved into a different dimension and the words ‘superhuman controlling’ doesn’t make any sense at all. Entrepreneurship which is popularly known to be a ‘way of life’ definitely has certain aspects which uplifts it to a global level to be called the ‘Universal Religion’.

While the entire world is embracing entrepreneurship to a great extent, it can surely be called the universal religion. Entrepreneurship is a collective effort and is completely based on shared beliefs and values like any other religion in the world. While a religion is meant to neutralize the biased behavior of men, it seldom sees good results. According to Urban Dictionary, “Religion is the biggest lie in human history. It has been responsible for more deaths throughout human history than all other unnatural causes combined. For a thousand years the Church was a tyrannical dictatorship that used religion to control the uneducated masses. Free your minds and come into the 21st century.” Read on to know why we call entrepreneurship a Universal Religion.
