Bangalore Startup's Product Gets Contribution From Apple Co-Founder


Bangalore: Gecko, a product developed by a Bangalore startup, Connovate Technology received a monetary contribution from Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple Inc. In a recent tweet, Wozniak stated his contribution to Gecko by praising it as “useful as well as prankful”.

Gecko is a tiny, low-powered Bluetooth device used to connect to phones and supports numerous applications. Through the help of a crowd-funding platform, Indiegogo, Gecko is aiming to raise $50,000 and interested individuals can contribute funds, starting from $20.

This campaign started on September 11 and before Wozniack stated his $100 contribution on Twitter, the company had raised $2,645 from a total of 67 funders. Since then, the number of contributors’ has increased.

Bahubali Shete, the technical brain behind the venture, along with Kiran Kumar, Rajeev M and S Varadarajan, were the four professionals who started Connovate Technology in January this year.
