Accel Partners Invests 100 Crore in BookMyShow

Bangalore: Accel Partners invested an amount of 100 crore in BookMyShow, an online ticketing company owned by Bigtree Entertainment. Accel has invested heavily in other e-commerce companies like Filpkart and Myntra. The current funding in BookMyShow will be used to expand the non-ticketing business, reports Times of India.

It is an emerging company and will use the funds for further business to serve customers online. As reported by TOI, Ashish Hemrajani, the founder of Bigtree Entertainment reported that the company is doing well in metro cities but finds it difficult to establish in the small towns.
