Magic leap may have magically appeared out of nowhere but what continues to be a mystery is its funding that is worth over half a billion dollars. The statement that is bold but vague of “modern wizards” is all set to dazzle the world with its magic. The three year old Florida startup has generated $542 million in funding from Google and other investors.
7. Box
Winding back the clock two years ago, Box that had just started as a public company by holding mock earning calls wasn’t given must thought (that it would make it big). The cloud storage company then took us by surprise when it raised $250 million this year. Reports then swarmed out stating that Box was delayed its IPO until the summer due to a downturn in tech stocks.
Untill then Boc and its CEO Aaron Levie are holding the fort guarded to minimize their costs and private market investors while staying in the competition and defending themselves against better funded businesses like Dropbox, Google and Microsolf who are attempting to expand their terrain in the online storage market.

Uber had made its appearance in the 2014 startup list and is back to take its place in the list of 2015. The company that has generated over $1 billion in funding is reported to be in the process of raising another billion. They are now trying a hand with courier services and “corner store” deliveries. For this reason, Analysts strongly believe that there is a greater purpose for Uber as the part for victory will led them to a full-fledged logistic service.
