Entrepreneurs and their creative ideas have helped the government ease a little as these startups are smartly converting waste water into bio fuel or renewable energy.

Biogas produced in water treatment is used to power a turbine that produces renewable energy; this energy can be used on-site or sold to utilities. The exhaust produced from the turbines then pasteurizes the wastewater, purifying it so it can be reused. Pasteurization Technology Group is a San Leandro based company that initiated this business idea and sells the energy to small units for their day to day activities.
