Bangalore: August 15,2012  would mark the 65th year of Indian Independence and it is obvious that everybody would remember our great freedom fighters, leaders, politicians, sports persons and so on but would they really care to bother about entrepreneurs?, The men who strived to success-which in turn made the nation a successful one.

It must be considered an honor to talk about such great personalities who worked every minute to ensure that the country doesn’t really have to be dependent on foreign countries; young entrepreneurs today are following those great foot steps to ensure India as a developing country has complete independence in terms of entrepreneurship and they have been quite very successful. The list below has 50 entrepreneurs from various sections of business who made and continues to make the country proud for all their entrepreneurial activities.

N. R. Narayana Murthy

Murthy is an industrialist who co-founded Infosys and expanded the Indian market to the next level. It was awarded as ‘India’s most respected company’ in Business world’s survey.

Azim Hashim Premji

Organization: Wipro Limited

Premji’s Wipro with its global presence in about 54 countries has represented the nation with pride and has employed about 130,000 employees.

Dr. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw

Organization: Biocon

This company was founded by Shaw in her garage which later turned to become the 7th largest biotech employer in the world and India's first and No. 1 biotech company with a global ranking of 16.

Dr. Prathap Reddy

Organization: Apollo Hospitals Group
