14 Year Old Receives Funding For His Disruptive Startup Idea

Bangalore: If you thought 14 years of age is too less to think and innovate, then, you must read a lot more about this guy. Emerson Walker, a fourteen year old from America is all set to change the way schools in the country work. At this tender age, Walker has developed an app called ‘mplanner’ which has received a gorgeous amount in funding, reports BI.

If things work out in plan, then, Walker will be solving one of America’s trickiest school problems. With mplanner, he intends to address complications in differing schedules of classes, parents, sports teams, doctors and so on.

In his almost fully funded startup page, Walker says:

School assignments are posted online, their school events calendar is on the school webpage, their sports calendar is on the fridge, their doctor appointments are on their parents’ phone, and their social events are on social media sites.

The mPlanner syncs with assignments from school portals (such as Schoology and Blackboard), and presents each assignment to them to "triage" into a study plan.

The app also benefits parents by providing them with a parent interface, allowing instant access to their child's schedule so they can be on the same page.
