Rohit Sharma unveiled India’s new T20 jersey for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup during the mid-innings break of the second ODI against South Africa in Raipur on Wednesday. He was joined by Tilak Varma, while BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia and Adidas India GM Vijay Chauhan officially presented the new kits on stage.

The jersey, designed by Adidas in partnership with the BCCI, mixes a fresh athletic silhouette with inspiration from India’s classic striped jerseys of the 1990s. It also keeps the signature neckline from the 2024 T20 World Cup, winning kit. The updated version features body-mapped 3D engineered stretch fabric and adidas' CLIMACOOL+ technology to help players stay cool during India’s warm-weather matches. Perforated three-stripe panels and mesh zones improve airflow and comfort across long innings.

Speaking at the launch, Rohit reflected on India’s journey from their first T20 World Cup win in 2007 to their triumph in 2024. He said hosting the 2026 edition would make the upcoming tournament even more special and extended his best wishes to the team.

The 2026 T20 World Cup will take place from February 7 to March 8 in India and Sri Lanka. India, the defending champions, will open their campaign at the Wankhede Stadium against the USA. The tournament will feature 20 teams, including debutant Italy, and conclude with the final on March 8 in either Ahmedabad or Colombo.
