Maharashtra Dominates Triathlon at 38th National Games with Six Medals
Maharashtra's triathletes produced a spectacular performance at the 38th National Games, bagging six medals in different endurance events, two gold, two silver, and two bronze. The state topped the Individual Triathlon, Mixed Relay, and Duathlon events, topping the discipline.
Bronze came in Individual Triathlon for the men with Parth Sachin Miraje and gold as well as a silver for women - Dolly Devdass Patil winning the gold, Mansi Vinod Mohite with the silver and Mixed Relay from Maharashtra helped make it six.
Maharashtra athletes bagged one silver and one bronze medals when the recently concluded Duathlon (Individual) came to a close, with Dolly Patil finishing as second place-getter and Mansi Mohite third. These wins go towards considerably increasing the medal count for Maharashtra.
Other states that won medals included Madhya Pradesh, which won three medals: one gold, one silver, and one bronze. Manipur won two gold medals in the individual triathlon and also added another gold in the Duathlon. Services (SSCB) won a silver and bronze in the Duathlon, and Tamil Nadu won bronze in the Mixed Relay.
In the Duathlon (Men’s) category, Sarungbam Athouba Meitei (Manipur) won gold with a time of 49:29 minutes, while Aadhya Singh (Madhya Pradesh) dominated the Women’s event, finishing at 56:43 minutes.
Maharashtra’s outstanding performance has propelled the state to the top of the triathlon leaderboard, reinforcing its dominance in endurance sports and inspiring athletes nationwide.
