  1. Around 46 Drivers Lost their Lives in Racing: Of course, F1 is a dangerous sport, as it deals with fast machines. It's a sad fact that 46 brave men lost their lives in the sporting action. Nowadays, the safety measures have been increased heavily due to these tragic accidents. In the 2000s, there was no death recorded, as it is the only decade in the history of F1 to not record a death. Latest one involved is French driver Jules Bianchi at the Japanese Grand Prix in 2014. The oldest driver to lose his life is Chet Miller, an American race driver (52 years old) at Indianapolis Circuit in 1953, and the youngest being Ricardo Rodriguez (20 years old) at Mexican Grand Prix in 1962.
