India Clinch 9th Asia Cup with 5 Wicket Win Over Pakistan
- Tilak Varma & Shivam Dube guide India to 5 wicket win
- Kuldeep Yadav stars with 4 wickets
- India remain unbeaten vs Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025
India pulled off a solid 5 wicket win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final, clinching their ninth title in the tournament's history. Despite a shaky start, India showed composure with both bat and ball to seal the deal in Dubai.
Pakistan posted 146 runs after being bowled out in 19.1 overs, following a stunning collapse. They were cruising at one point with Sahibzada Farhan (57) and Fakhar Zaman (46) putting on a strong opening stand. But the momentum shifted quickly as Kuldeep Yadav triggered a collapse with 4 wickets, and support from Bumrah (2/25), Chakravarthy (2/30), and Axar Patel (2/26) wiped out the middle and lower order. Pakistan lost 9 wickets for just 33 runs.
In reply, India had a nervous start. Shaheen Afridi and Faheem Ashraf removed Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Suryakumar Yadav inside the first six overs. But Tilak Varma (46) and Sanju Samson steadied things before Varma built a match winning stand with Shivam Dube, who stayed unbeaten on 47 to take India home with 8 balls to spare.
