Nalanda Mahavihara (India):
Nalanda was known as the largest Buddhist monastery in the ancient kingdom of Magadha which now in present day is called as Bihar. Situated in the north-eastern part of India the site dates back to 3rd century BCE. This heritage site includes stupas (dome shaped buildings), shrines, viharas (residential and educational buildings).
Philippi (Greece):
Philippi was an ancient town situated in Macedonia, Greece built in 356 BC by the King Philip II. The city was built to look like a small Rome, with buildings designed like the Roman public building—Forum.
