One of the longest running contemporary Indian rock music band was originally founded as Rock machine. Their debut album, Rock'n'Roll Renegade, India's first all-original rock album, was a huge success. Indus Creed was the big winner at Jack Daniel's JD Rock Awards at the historic Mehboob Studios in Mumbai. Their latest album ‘Evolve’ from Universal Music Group was launched in 2012.

Bangalore based folk-rock band Swarathma falls among the tops ten music band category of India. "As musicians, we've definitely all grown together. Over the years , we've gotten a lot tighter as a band", says guitar player Varun Murali. All the songs of their much awaited album Topiwalleh in one way or other depicts stories of how the band was formed . They also take up veritable issues like child abuse as the subject of their track, ‘Ghum’.
