Music for this 1996 Bangalore based band is just not rock. It is blues, funk, jazz, prog, maybe even some soul. The talented trios call their music as ‘Bangalore Rocks’. They have released five albums till now including the first triple album from the continent. 'Thermal and a Quarter' means 'Three Malayalees and a Quarter Malayalee' to focus on the ethnic combination of the band. They are churning fresh new ideas and rhythms to the world of Indian music.

Dedicated to the vocal folk music of Nagaland, this band is an initiative  a quartet of four sisters. They sing in Chokri,  the popular dialect of Nagaland. In 2014, they won the MTS Discover title at the NH7 music festival. Their debut album titled "Li Chapter One : The Beginning" was released at the Hornbill Festival. The sisters started their music journey with their mother teaching them Li songs at a very young age.
