Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), one of India’s top Maharatna Public Sector Units, has signed a significant MoU with The Art of Living’s outreach arm, Vyakti Vikas Kendra India (VVKI), to introduce holistic wellness programs for its employees. The initiative focuses on emotional resilience, mindfulness, leadership, and creating a sense of belonging in the workplace.
The agreement was formalized at The Art of Living International Centre in Bengaluru in the presence of spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who inspired the vision of this collaboration. The MoU was signed by Shri Sanjay Dhar, Officiating Executive Director (HR–Learning & Development), MTI, and Br. Pragyachaitanya, Chairperson of VVKI. Shri K.K. Singh, Director (Personnel) of SAIL, also witnessed the event.
Through this partnership, SAIL employees across its units will benefit from structured programs that help manage stress, improve focus, and build leadership capabilities. The goal is to create a culture that supports mental well-being while aligning personal growth with organizational goals. This step marks a wider move to embed holistic health practices in India’s public sector workforce.
The programs, based on The Art of Living’s corporate wellness model, integrate physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness. Practical tools like breathing techniques and guided meditation will be taught to improve work-life balance and productivity.
