Dusky skin, liquid eyes and legs for days make Indian girls the most sought after on international runways. And such models have put India on the global map with their quintessential beauty. Here we are talking about the small town beauty Monica Thomas.

Hailing from Ooty, she has been featured in Vogue India almost eight times in less than a year since she began her career as a model. She also became the cover girl for Elle India and Harpers Bazaar. Her stupefying looks gathered many eyes when she walked the ramp.

Today, successes in the international arena have helped change the Indian mindset towards modeling and these models are proving that brown is very much at home on the international fashion scene. “Beauty is beauty, irrespective of race, color and gender. I would love for more Indian girls to have the opportunity to come to the international scene,” said industry veteran and London-based stylist Charlotte Stockdale.
