Maruti Ignis and Baleno RS to make its Debut in Festive Season


The Maruti Ignis concept comes with a huge grille with squared off projector headlamp with integrated LED daytime running lamps. The big bumper accommodates large air dam along with fog lamps surrounded by chrome bezels. The vehicle gets muscular wheel arches and plastic cladding on sides. It comes with a ground clearance of 180mm. At the back, the cross gets wrap-around taillamps, massive bumper and black plastic cladding. Its tall boy hatch styling further gives it a SUV like profile.

 In the interior, the Ignis Cross gets a dual-tone scheme. The cabin is equipped with 50:50 split seats at the rear, Suzuki's SmartPlay infotainment system, multi-functional steering wheel with extended enhancement such as controls for audio and Bluetooth telephony, climate control. It is expected that the vehicle will get dual airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution) as a standard safety feature.

 The Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be offered with two engine variants. It is expected that the petrol version will get a 1.2-litre K Series engine, while the oil burner could be Fiat sourced 1.3L MJD diesel engine. Transmission options are likely to include a five-speed manual and an AMT unit.
