The New Tata Tiago Available at Attractive Prices

BENGALURU: Tata Motors, a multinational automotive manufacturing company, has recently launched their latest model Tiago in the Indian market. The vehicle is a mid-size hatchback and will be competing with other big brands such as Hyundai i10 and Maruti Suzuki Celerio. The company has priced the petrol variant of the car between Rs 3.20 lakh and Rs 4.75 lakh, while the diesel variant cost will range between Rs 3.94 lakh and Rs 5.54 lakh, reports The Times of India. Tata Tiago flaunts a variation of six colors—Sunburst Orange, Platinum Silver, Striker Blue, Pearlescent White, Espresso Brown and Berry Red.

The length of the newly launched car is 3,746 mm, width 1,647 mm along with the height of 1,535 mm. The fuel tank capacity of the automobile is 35 liters and the boot capacity is 242 liters. In terms of security features, the new Tata Tiago has speed sensing auto door locks, dual airbags, along with central locking system. Additionally, the car features 14-inch wheels, which have good ground clearance. The petrol version of the car is propelled by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder VCTi Revotron unit with DOHC. This petrol unit develops a maximum power output of 83.8bhp and a peak torque of 114Nm. On the other hand, the diesel model features a new 1.05-litre three-cylinder Revotorq motor, which is capable of generating power worth 69.04bhp and 140Nm of peak torque. The interior of the automobile is designed with superior plastic and has spacious seating capacity with an app based infotainment system that comes with a navigation sync feature. Moreover, the car has a host of connectivity features, which includes a juke app that enables people to pair one main phone and multiple others through it.

Tiago has witnessed its share of controversy—owing to its previous name Zica, which was awkwardly similar to the ‘Zika’ virus that continues to spread across the world. The company then conducted a competition called ‘#FantasticoNameHunt’, in which fans got to vote for their preferred new name from a shortlist of three suggestions—Tiago, Adore and Civet.
