Hyundai Launches HND-14,'Carlino', a Sub-4 meter SUV

Based on the Fluidic 2.0 design philosophy, Hyundai Carlino sub-compact SUV shares its design elements with its siblings like the i20 and the Creta. The car features the same sweptback headlamps and new signature Hyundai Grille that is seen on all the new-age Hyundai cars. From the side profile, the car looks like a mini Creta with almost same wheel arches. The rear profile too looks inspired from the Creta and Santa Fe.

Painted in an orange shade, the concept sports squarish taillights, large rugged wheels, suicide doors, front and rear skid plates, roof carriers, side air intakes, and futuristic headlights with LED daytime running lights.

Hyundai did not share a detailed description of specifics of the Carlino concept. However it is prudent to assume that the car, if launched, will rival the Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TU.

Inside, the Hyundai Carlino gets features such as the 'plug and play' platform, interchangeable audio, visual and navigation units, push start button, and electric folding side mirrors. The carmaker will also offer buyers the choice to completely customize in-car technology options. Moving on to safety features, the Hyundai HND-14 sub-compact SUV comes with 6 airbags and Hill Start Assist Control.

Hyundai Motor India Managing Director Young Key Koo has divulged that the Hyundai compact SUV will launch in India by the end of the decade.
