Abarth Punto EVO vs VW Polo GT TSI

In terms of specs the Punto Abarth, will get contrasting wing mirrors depending on the color of the car,  Abarth logo, 'T-Jet' badge on the bootlid, side body decals. Whereas on the inside, its gets a fabric upholstery with contrast stitching in red and yellow and sportier steel pedals. In terms of safety the car will get ABS and dual front airbags as standard. Also the hatchback gets disc brakes at the rear instead of drums along with a sporty alloy wheels featuring 195/55 R16 Apollo tyres.

On the other hand the GT TSI gets a GT badging on the front grille, on the C-pillar, on the rear door, and as a doorstep garnish. The black colored rear spoiler and Estrada alloy wheels further differentiate the car from the regular Polo on the outside. On the inside it gets an all black interiors which does look good, especially the new flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel which emphasizes the sportiness of the car. As for infotainment you get everything from USB, Bluetooth, Aux-In to steering mounted controls and even an SD card slot. There are metallic pedals too, which add to that racing lineage characteristic.

On the safety front it gets ample features such as dual front airbags as standard, anti-lock braking system, rear-parking sensors, electronic stabilisation programme and hill-hold function.  

Here also the Polo GT TSI outperforms the Abarth as a perfect performance hatch on most counts but since not much details of the Abarth is out, let’s wait for some surprises.
