2. Bundi (fort which was never being conquered)
The small, rustic town Bundi is known for its palaces with life-size frescos and mirrors, forts, over 50 magnificent baoris (step wells), the artificial Nawal Sagar Lake, a beautiful waterfall, humongous rock formations and pre-historic rock paintings. Bundi hosts an annual festival, Kajli-teej, in the months of July-August. The place ‘Bundi’ is just Just 40 kms (1 hour) from Kota.
