Ferrari 488 GTB Now Set to Run on Indian Roads


BENGALURU: The Ferrari lovers of India! Time to fasten your seat belts and spend some hot cash... The long wait for the launch of Ferrari 488 GTB in India is finally over. Initially launched on 3 February 2015 at March 2015 Geneva Motor Show, it is now launched in India at a staggering price of 3.88 Crore on 17 February 2016. It is the successor of Ferrari 458 model of the rear mid-engine sports car family, points out Vikas Yogi for Financial Express, covering the big event.  Aurelien Sauvard, International Sales Director, Ferrari Middle East and Africa, is expected to be present during the launch accompanied by Yadur Kapur, Director of Select Cars at the venue.

Here are all the essential specifications. Ferrari powers the new beast with a 3.9 litre V8 twin-turbocharged engine mated with 7-speed dual clutch transmission allow users to experience the modern-time forced induction on the road. The new engine is smaller than the predecessor but gives a 488 cubic centimeters of displacement per cylinder, giving the beast its name- 488 GTB. The power unleashed by the new model is 660bhp; a 100bhp more than 458 model with an unmatched torque of 760Nm. 488 GTB belonging to a sports car family focuses on the speed, electronically defined upto 330kmph and acceleration reaching 0-100kmph in less than 8.3 seconds from a standstill position. 11.4 litres of fuel is required to run every hundred kilometers which characterizes the fuel economy.
