One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme
The implementation of this scheme was announced after the rage and agitation of the ex-servicemen had intensified over a period of 83 days. This scheme offers the same pension to the ones who have served the nation at the same rank for the same length of service. Despite that the armed forces offer benefits to the servicemen, it cannot be ignored that the armed force retires at an age at which they are still employable yet they cannot be a part of the forces. This scheme offers a secure future to those ex-servicemen.
