9. Himachal Pradesh:
Himachal Pradesh is one state which is famous for its profuse natural beauty. It is now the third fastest growing economy of the country. The presence of abundant perennial rivers has enabled this state to sell hydroelectricity to other states such as Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan. Hydroelectric power, tourism and agriculture are the three sources that form the main generators of revenue.
Himachal scores high on institutional support, physical and financial factors, communication, supporting factors and supplier sophistication. This hilly Indian state is the least urbanized state with almost 90 percent of the population living in rural areas, but the Shimla district is somewhat urbanized with nearly 25 percent population residing in an urban areas. As per the Transparency International survey, Himachal Pradesh is ranked the second-least corrupt state in the country after Kerala.
10. Andhra Pradesh:
Andhra Pradesh which is historically called as the "Rice Bowl of India" is the fourth largest state of India by area and also the fifth largest by population. It is the fifth most industrially developed state.
In terms of GDP, this state is ranked third among Indian states and fifth among industrially developed states. The main highlights of the state include innovation, diversity of firms, institutional support, factor and physical conditions. Andhra Pradesh is gifted with mineral wealth and is also a hotspot for the flourishing IT sector.
