'Talking' Cigarette Packs Now Help You Quit Smoking
It was the tobacco companies who inspired the researchers to come up with such an idea as they wanted to find out if this technology would prove against the companies by encouraging people to give up this harmful habit.
One of the researchers stated that this device was tested on young women between the age group of 16 and 24 years, which according to them was the high smoking groups in the UK, reported TNN.
Some of the volunteers expressed that the messages about fertility were quite striking and felt that it might help them quit smoking. Also some other volunteers said that they find the repeated messages annoying and as such would be the reason behind them to quit cigarette smoking.
Chief executive of Action on Smoking and Health Scotland, Sheila Duffy welcomed this idea of a device with message in a cigarette packet.
If this technology proves successful in the market worldwide, then in the near future we are sure to live a cigarette free life.
