Zydus Lifesciences Ltd has announced the appointment of Swati Dalal as the Managing Director and Additional Director of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Zydus Healthcare Ltd (ZHL), effective June 16, 2025. The decision was approved by the board of ZHL at its meeting held on the same day. Her tenure will span five years.
Dalal brings with her over three decades of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. She most recently served as Managing Director of Abbott India Ltd. She began her career at Wockhardt Nutrition and moved to the erstwhile Boots, eventually progressing through mergers involving Knoll, Solvay, and Abbott. 
Over the years, she has held several leadership roles at Abbott, including Commercial Director of Sales & Marketing, Business Development, and Commercial Excellence.
Dalal holds a degree in Pharmacy from PKM Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Mumbai, and a postgraduate degree in Management Studies from the prestigious Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. Her appointment marks a significant leadership move for Zydus Healthcare, aligning with the group’s growth and strategic direction.
