Poltical Veterans Who Now Stand As Prime Accused

Another recent politician who is caught in the web of corruption is Karnataka’s former Chief Minister Mr. Yedyrappa. Of all the other corruption charges against him, the one that toppled his career was the Illegal ‘Iron Ore Export Scam’ in different districts of Karnataka, for which he used his public office. He allegedly gave undue favors to mining companies, who in turn made large ‘donations’ to a trust which is run by his immediate family.

A Special Forest Bench headed by Chief Justice S.H. Kapadia said “Wherever and whenever the state fails to perform its duties, the court shall step in to ensure that rule of law prevails over the abuse of the process of law”  regarding the failure of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka in protecting the forests.

On 14^th October 2011 he surrendered to the Lokayukta Special Court and was remanded in Bangalore central jail. However he will not be forgotten in the near future for the face he built up.
