PM Modi Unveils Development Projects Worth Rs 7,200 Crore in Telangana
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a significant move towards fostering development and modernization, recently inaugurated and laid the foundation for a slew of projects worth over Rs 7,200 crore in Sangareddy, located about 60 km from Hyderabad. Emphasizing his unwavering dedication to Telangana's progress, PM Modi reiterated that the development of states is integral to the nation's advancement.
Addressing an official event in Hyderabad, PM Modi expressed his commitment to a 'Viksit Bharat' or developed India, stressing the importance of modern infrastructure. To this end, the Central government earmarked a substantial Rs 11 lakh crore towards infrastructure in the current budget, with a keen focus on ensuring Telangana maximizes its benefits.
Highlighting the Centre's decade-long endeavor to elevate Telangana's development trajectory, PM Modi recalled launching projects worth Rs 56,000 crore from Adilabad the previous day. In Sangareddy, projects totaling around Rs 7,000 crore were initiated, spanning vital sectors such as roadways, railways, petroleum, and natural gas.
Of notable significance was the inauguration of the Civil Aviation Research Organisation (CARO) center at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad. This state-of-the-art facility, built at a cost exceeding Rs 350 crore, aims to bolster research and development activities in the civil aviation sector, aligning with stringent environmental norms.
Further bolstering connectivity, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for three National Highway projects, including the pivotal six-laning of the Pune-Hyderabad Section of NH-65. This initiative promises enhanced connectivity to major industrial hubs like the Pashamylaram industrial area near Patancheru, thus stimulating economic growth.
Railway infrastructure also received a significant boost, with the inauguration of the doubling and electrification of the Sanathnagar-Moula Ali rail line, accompanied by the unveiling of six new station buildings. Additionally, the launch of the inaugural MMTS Train Service from Ghatkesar-Lingampalli via Moula Ali-Sanathnagar extends suburban train services to new areas, enhancing regional connectivity.
In the energy sector, PM Modi inaugurated the Indian Oil Paradip-Hyderabad Product Pipeline, a 1,212-km pipeline with a capacity of 4.5 MMTPA. This pipeline, traversing through Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, ensures the safe and economical transportation of petroleum products to key delivery stations, facilitating energy distribution across the region.
Overall, PM Modi's initiatives underscore the government's unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive growth, enhancing infrastructure, and propelling Telangana towards a trajectory of sustained development and prosperity.
